The brief

PANDA London wanted its spokesperson to be the expert stations call about sleeping in a heatwave. It also wanted to explain why bamboo bedding that breathes can help.

The angle

Extreme heat, sticky humidity and a surge in pollen were all disrupting sleep. In the south of England, nights were not dropping below 20°C. We offered tips beyond fans and open windows, including a lighter duvet and breathable bedding. In a heatwave, news desks need an expert who can add something new to a story everyone is living through.
